The Staff Represents Medicine and Healing
Did you notice that three of six points of the Star's naming convention used the word CARE? It might be more difficult in this world of today to actually find someone in the healthcare profession who provides this elusive, yet multi-faceted, word with its many levels of meaning. CARE may be denoted using the first letters of the following words, stolen from icarevalues.org. Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Empathy are all needed to help a healthcare provider provide the CARE that each patient in the emergency prehospital situation needs.
