Compatibility

Web Browsers: For cross-platform compatibility, reliability, broad support, and standards compliance, we recommend Firefox web browser. With 36% market share, it is also the most popular browser version.

All our web development projects are tested with, and intended to be fully compatible with, Firefox, Internet Explorer 6, and Internet Explorer 7. These three browser versions collectively hold over 90% of market share.

Although we cannot guarantee compatibility with the other 9% of web browser versions, we are interested in any compatibility issues which might arise and will address them where possible.

Web Hosting Service Providers: PHP support from your web hosting provider is required for all Web Builder users. MySQL support from your web hosting provider is required if you are interested in shopping cart, pay-per-download, eTicketing, calendar, graffiti, or other database functionality.

Many web hosting companies support PHP and MySQL, so you may have support for these already included in your web hosting account. If in doubt, check with your web hosting company. If you host with us, see hosting plans to find out about PHP and MySQL support.

Apache HTTP server is required on your web server if you are interested in our optional pay-per-download module. ImageMagick support is required on your web server if you are interested in our large-store shopping cart, image editing, or gallery modules.

Beware Partial PHP Support: Some web hosting providers claim to offer PHP support, but actually support only a limited subset of PHP functions or configure PHP in a non-standard way on their web servers, which can create compatibility issues.
